Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Stone has worked in the field of educational measurement for 25 years.  Prior to joining EdMetric, Dr. Stone spent more than 20 years at Educational Testing Service.  In the Statistical Analysis area, she primarily conducted psychometric analyses and research on operational computerized adaptive tests.  In the Research area, she had the opportunity to lead and contribute to studies focusing on areas including assessment of students with disabilities and other special populations and test-taker motivation.  Liz has played a role in all stages of both operational and research assessments, including design, pilot and field testing, scoring, psychometric analysis, and reporting.  She has had the opportunity to contribute to the revision of operational assessments and to design, propose, and conduct studies for states, consortia, and other clients.  She also gained valuable experience by serving in several research-adjacent roles at ETS, such as Associate Editor for the technical review process, External Data Request Coordinator, technical team leader for testing program audits, and member of the Board of Review (test score integrity).  Liz currently serves as an Editor on the Editorial Board of The NERA Researcher, the newsletter for the Northeastern Educational Research Association.

Dr. Stone holds a PhD and an MS in Statistics from Temple University, an MS in Mathematics from Drexel University, and a BA in Mathematics from The College of New Jersey.  She is currently working to expand her toolbox by pursuing an MS in Data Analytics in the Computer Science Department of New Mexico State University.
