Anne Davidson, Ed.D.
Annie is a trusted educator and psychometrician dedicated to helping each teacher help each child.
Dr. Anne Davidson has served in the field of educational assessment for over 15 years and in education for over 20. Her experience includes public and private sector work in roles that span psychometric, instructional, and policy leadership. As a Senior Associate at EdMetric, she provides expertise related to large-scale, standardized assessment programs with particular focus on accessibility, alternate assessments, and the inclusion of students with disabilities and English learners. She serves on federal peer review panels and teaches in the early childhood and elementary education programs in higher education.
Prior to joining EdMetric, Dr. Davidson served as Research Manager and Scientist at CTB/McGraw-Hill where she managed research teams and oversaw diverse testing programs in K-12 Education. She led standard setting workshops using Bookmark, Jaeger, and holistic standard setting methods, as well as cut score reviews and standards validation reviews. She has worked with technical advisory committees and state department leaders to set standards for the California English Language Development Test, the West Virginia alternate assessment of alternate achievement standards, and other English proficiency and alternate assessments.
Dr. Davidson served as Assistant Director for Assessment and Administration at the Nevada Department of Education where she led the work of preparing federal peer review resubmissions, resetting standards for the state’s mathematics and alternate assessments, and the development of the state’s growth model.
Dr. Davidson holds a doctorate from University of Vermont in Educational Leadership and Policy, a Masters of Arts in Education from St. Michael’s College (Vermont), and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. Before entering the field of educational measurement, she was a classroom teacher and teaching artist, and she currently teaches in teacher preparation programs at the community college level.
